I think, therefore I am. A phrase coined by French philosopher René Descartes in an effort to explain the perceptions of reality. He believed thought alone proved a reality produced by our five senses. He couldn’t have been more accurate, but I see truth in this phrase in another way as well.
Have you noticed a clock at the exact moment of 11:11 or 1:11? At these times, I’ve heard many people say, “Make a wish!” While others will say, “Pay attention to your thoughts!” All with good cause. The number 1 in numerology represents the power to manifest your thoughts into reality. A repeating number is more likely to catch your attention. So the magic of 11:11 is in the power of our thoughts… I think, therefore I am.
Whether you think you can or think you can’t, you’re probably right.
It’s all in what you tell yourself!
Getting into a renewed empowering mindset is a great way to bring in the New Year. 2016 was a pretty rough year for us. It started in January with torrential rain that flooded our apple storage area and totaled what apples we had been saving. A warm winter followed by a late freeze in April and the worst drought in close to 80 years combined for an extremely low yielding apple crop. I am ready to move on to a new year! In 2017, I will be telling myself, “I am worthy of success.” This orchard is worthy of success!
Here’s a tip: Put a recurring alert in the calendar on your phone at 1:11 or 11:11 with your new mantra.
Most of all, have fun with it! And cheers to a happy, healthy new year!
Ali 🙂
